National Enterprise Network

National Enterprise Network is a unique membership body representing those working in the enterprise support sector across England.

National Enterprise Network believe their members are crucial to England’s economic growth. NEN members provide a wide array of support to new and established businesses, offering impartial and independent information, advice, training and other services including loan funding, managed workspace and incubation facilities.

Research shows that those who seek support in the setting up and running of their businesses are more likely to survive and thrive and there is no greater example of good quality, personalised and tailored support than that offered by NEN Members and Associates.

National Enterprise Network’s online directory has been specifically devised to help people looking for core support in starting up, to put them in touch with support organisations located nearby.

As a membership body, NEN’s role is to support their members work by:

• Representing their interests to government and others in the public and private sector, showcasing a unique national network of credible, quality assured enterprise support organisations
• Promoting membership successes and demonstrating their value to local communities and the wider economy
• Connecting people and projects inside and outside the Network, sharing valuable knowledge, skills and opportunities for success.

Who are NEN’s membership?

NEN membership is traditionally, but not exclusively, made up of not-for-profit enterprise support organisations providing independent and impartial advice, training and mentoring to new and emerging businesses. NEN represent a variety of enterprise support organisations; including enterprise agencies, Chambers of Commerce, local authorities and other specialist providers.

An overview of NEN

• The NEN network is independent, impartial and non-partisan. The Network and its membership are private sector-led but do not distribute profits, reinvesting surpluses into enterprise support
• NEN and our members are customer focussed and are passionate about enterprise support and it is fundamental to everything we do. NEN believe in the results enterprise support achieves and see the impact it makes.
• To support membership services, NEN also manage a high profile conference and awards ceremony, develop strong, significant relationships with strategic and corporate partners and act as lead contractor on national contracts delivered by NEN members.
